Super happy to come to Fairbanks to share the new edition of the recent novel at this premier reading series. Expect an excerpt of the novel, some poems of place, some stories, and fiddle tunes.
It's the return of the Friday Fling, the local market in downtown Palmer, and I'll be at Fireside Books most all of the afternoon with Now Entering Alaska Time, and other books to sign, and I'll have the fiddle.
I get to spend my evening at the wonderful Writer's Block in beautiful Spenard. I'm sure I'll have a friend or two joining me for fiddle tunes to go along with the poems and stories. Books and CDs will be available, and I'll be happy to sign them!

My third year ushering in this year's first group of Road Scholars on Memorial Day evening.
I'll be doing a Wednesday workshop, then coming back on Thursday, May 30 for some kids' programs. And there might be some surprises too!

I'll be joined on campus by another writer--and Elon alum, Jeremy Jones, Western Carolina English Dept. faculty who's also a banjo player. Music, literature, and North Carolina, all within an hour from where I first picked up a fiddle more than forty years ago. Wow!
